Application of rotational digital subtraction angiography in diagnosis and treatment of intracranial aneurysms

Abstract

Objective:To evaluate the application of three-dimensional angiography (3D-Angio) in detection and treatment of intracranial aneurysm, in order to improve the diagnosis and treatment.Methods:Two-dimensional angiography and three-dimensional angiography were performed in 213 patients with intracranial aneurysm,the radiographic files were analyses retrospectively.Results:222 aneurysms were detected in the 213 patients. Of which, 197 sac aneurysms,16 fusiform aneurysms and 9 dissection aneurysms in shape. 105 small aneurysms,89 middle size aneurysms,22 large aneurysms and 6 giant aneurysms in size. 205 aneurysms were detected by standard DSA,17 aneurysms were suspected by 2D-Angio,then confirmed by 3D-Angio.138 aneurysms were treated with silver clip by surgery. 19 aneurysms were embolized by micro coils.Conclusion:3D-Angio can increase the diagnosis rate of intracranial aneurysms, and improve the safety and effect of various treatment.
