Abstract
[Objective] To determine the content of polysaccharide in walnut shell.[Method] The content of polysaccharide was determined by phenol-sulfuric acid method at 490 nm with the glucose as reference substance.[Result] The optimal color conditions were 1.0 ml 5% phenol,6.0 ml sulfuric acid,65 ℃ reaction temperature and 30 min reaction time, the average recovery was 101.9%,RSD=1.98% and the liner range was 10-90 μg/ml.[Conclusion] The method is simple, accurate and has good reproducibility, and it is reliable to determine the total polysaccharide in the walnut shell.
