Abstract
Objective:To investigate the clinical effect of arterial infusion chemotherapy combined with radiotherapy in advanced esophageal carcinoma.Methods:Total of 90 patients of advanced esophageal carcinoma were randomly divided into two groups,group arterial infusion chemotherapy combined with radiotherapy and group radiotherapyolone.Results:In combined therapy group the 1-,2-,and 3-year survival rates were 68.9%,44.4% and 35.6%,radiotherapy alone therapy group the 1-,2-,and 3-yearsurvival rates were 46.7%,24.4% and 15.6%(P0.05).There was no marked difference in side reaction between the two groups.Conclusion:Arterial infusion chemotherapy combined with radiotherapy in advanced esophageal carcinoma is safe and effective.
