Endoscopic dacryocystorhinostomy for chronic dacryocystitis of old patients

Abstract

【Objective】To study the effect of the nasal endoscopic dacryocystorhinostomy on chronic dacryocystitis of old patients.【Methods】20 old patients ( 24 eyes) suffering from chronic dacryocystitis received nasal endoscopic dacryocystorhinostomy. Their clinical data were analyzed retrospectively. 【Results】Of all 24 eyes , 22 eyes (91.7 %)were cured, 2 eyes (8.3 %) obviously improved. No complications occurred. 【Conclusions】Nasal endoscopic dacryocystorhinostomy is an effective surgical method to treat chronic dacryocystitis of patients.
