Criminal Intention Theory in AngloAmerican Criminal Law has experienced a history from the traditional criminal intention theory to the modern criminal intention theory. During the time, quite a lot of heated controversies over different theories on Criminal Intention took place. Compared with the Intention Theory of the Chinese Criminal Law, the English Criminal Law required Purpose,Certaintyand Practical Certaintyas the elements of intention, while the American Criminal Law required only Purposefor intention, Practical Certaintyin knowledge was referred to as Recklessness
