Abstract

Objective:To explore the expressions of transforming growth factor-β1(TGF-β1) and placental growth factor(PLGF) in placental trophoblastic cells of patients with preeclampsia, and their roles in pathogenesis of preeclampsia. Methods:Immunohistochemical method was used to detect the expression levels of TGF-β1 and PLGF in placental trophoblastic cells of 30 normal pregnant women and 68 patients with preeclampsia. Results:The expression level of TGF-β1 in severe preeclampsia group was significantly higher than those in normal pregnancy group and mild preeclampsia group(P0.05);the expression level of PLGF in severe preeclampsia group was significantly lower than those in normal pregnancy group and mild preeclampsia group(P0.05);there was negative correlation between TGF-β1 expression and PLGF expression in the three groups.Conclusion:TGF-β1 and PLGF are related to placental shallow implantation of patients with preeclampsia, and they participate in the regulation of growth, development and differentiation of placental chorionic trophoblastic cells and vascular endothelial cells in patients with preeclampsia, which play important roles in the course of occurrence and development of preeclampsia.
