Acupoint Sticking Therapy plus Acupuncture Combined with Cupping in the Treatment of Peripheral Facial Paralysis

Abstract
Objective:To observe the clinical effect of acupoint sticking therapy plus acupuncture treatment combined with cupping on peripheral facial paralysis.Methods:172 patients with peripheral facial paralysis were randomly allocated to a treatment group of 86 cases and a control group of acupuncture treatment combined cupping of 86 cases.The treatment group received acupoint sticking therapy plus acupuncture treatment combined with cupping and the control group received acupuncture treatment combined with cupping.The clinical therapeutic effects were compared.Results:The cure efficacy rate was 62.79% in the treatment group and 44.19% in the control group;There was a statistically significant difference(P0.05).On the average,10.092±2.421 times of treatment were needed in cured patients of the treatment group and 11.078±1.683 times in those of the control group;There was a statistically significant difference(P0.05).Conclusion:Acupoint sticking therapy plus acupuncture treatment combined with cupping is an ideal method for treating peripheral facial paralysis.
