Abstract

A method for determination of As in the cigarette tipping paper by using flow injection-hydride generation atomic absorption spectrometry(FI-HG-AAS) was proposed. The As(Ⅴ) in the digested sample was firstly reduced to As(Ⅲ) and then was reacted with KBH4 in hydrochloric acid to produce AsH3 for AAS determination. The relative standard deviation(RSD) was less than 5%,the recoveries was in the range of 96.7%~104%,and the detection limit for As was 0.18 μg/L.
