Linguistic and communicative competence training in English teaching

Linguistic competence and communicative competence is the core of EFL teaching and learning.How to lay solid foundation for linguistic competence and develop communicative competence is the problem that teachers and learners face.Linguistic knowledge and skills are both important but different in sequence for the training of linguistic competence.Communicative competence is comprehensive abilities which are developed on the basis of linguistic competence.It depends on other factors,the ability of understanding and literary style,foreign and Chinese culture knowledge,psychological factors and so on.
