On Communicative Competence in College English Classroom and Its Teaching Strategies

Abstract

This paper probes into communicative competence,pointing out that communicative competence includes linguistic competence while linguistic competence is the basis of communicative competence.They correlate with each other.Language teachers,therefore,must develop students' communicative competence on their linguistic competence.Aiming at the teaching strategy,the paper presents four methods and some inspiration for college English classroom.
