Abstract
Objective:To investigate the biological features of breast carcinoma and analyze Cyclin E’s functions in occurrence and metastasis of breast carcinoma by the examination of Cyclin E,and their relationship with clinical-pathological features index including ER,PR. Methods: A total of 68 paraffin-embedded tissue of breast carcinomas and 30 non-carcinomatous breast tissues were observed by the use of S-P method to examine the expression of proteins. Results: The positive rate of Cyclin E in 30 non-carcinomatous breast tissues were 6.67%. The positive rate of Cyclin E in 68 breast carcinomas were 50.00%.The difference between the two groups of patients was significant. And the expression level of them was significantly higher in the tumors than that in the non-carcinnomatous breast tissues. The positive expression rate of Cyclin E was 25.00%and 57.68% in classⅠand class Ⅱ~Ⅲ of breast carcinoma respectively, having significant difference . Breast tumor malignant degree increased when Cyclin E positive expression increased. The positive rate in the group with lymph nodes metastasis was 70.00%, which was higher than that of non-lymph nodes metastasis. The difference was significant. Conclusion: The findings suggest that the expression of Cyclin E might be a useful marker for predicting the lymph node metastasis, and the prognosis of breast carcinoma.
