Alcoholic Liver Disease Treated with Decoction for Lowering Lipid plus Tiopronine:A Clinical Observation of 58 Cases

Objective To observe the clinical effect of self-composed decoction for lowering lipid combined with Tiopronine in treating alcohol liver disease.Methods Totally 100 in-patients were randomly divided as trial group (n=58) and control group (n=42).The patients in two groups were given conventional treatment with Western medicine,and those in the trial group were received additional oral decoction for lowering lipid.The changes of liver function and blood lipid were observed.Results After treatment,there were significant differences in various indexes of liver function and blood lipid (except for serum total cholesterol) between the two groups (P0.05),and there was a significant difference in effect between the two groups (P0.05).Conclusion The decoction for lowering blood lipid plus Tiopronine are more effective than simple Western medicine in improving liver function and blood lipid.
