Shen Congwen is one of the writers who have had a significant impact on Chinese modern history of literature.In his works,Shen Congwen puts forward his unique proposal of ethics.The basic elements of ethics are as follows: Divinity of life is the nature of moral;the love of tolerance is the fundamental norms of ethics;Harmony is the ultimate meaning of life and the highest purpose.The ethics of Shen Congwen has its rationality,but the shortcoming of Shen's ethics is that it didn't advance with the times,hence it did not receive adequate attention.
