Research on Public Participation in Local Legislation

As the accumulation and derivation of constant practices in the process of democratization of legislation,public participation in local legislation embodies in the socialist society the concept of rule of law,which means that Chinese people are in power.Therefore,public participation in local legislation,if carried out in a substantial way,will not only increase the public's sense of identity with regard to politics,law and society and enhance their self-awareness,but also make up the demerits of the representative systems in China's democratic system.
