Abstract
The taut-mooring system is a type of mooring technique suitable for deep water positioning. This paper investigates the effect of different taut-mooring systems on semi-submersible platforms working in the water depth of 2 000 m by applying coupled analysis method. The optimized parameters of the mooring system for the platform are recommended and then the analyzed results of the motion and mooring force of the platform with the mooring system are presented. The results can be a reference for the design of deep water mooring systems.
