Abstract
OBJECTIVE To establish and improve an HPLC method for the determination of magnolol and isomagnolol in Xiang-sha Yangwei pills. METHODS Magnolol and iso-magnolol were separated on Hvpersil ODS C18 column( 5μm, 150mm×4.6mm) and detected at 294 nm, using acetonitrile-water-acelic acid glacial (50:48:2) as mobile phase. RESULTS The standard curves for magnolol and magnolol were linear in t he range of 1. 12-5. 60 μg and 0. 8288 - 4. 144 μg. The average recoveries of magnoiol and iso-magnolol were 99. 1 % (RSD= 1.64% ) and 102.4% (RSD = 1.67 %). CONCLUSIONS The method is simple rapid and accurate.
