Abstract

The basic conception and system structure of Reverse Engineering are introduced. The key techniques of reverse engineering such as data acquisition approach, digital model reconstruction, quick responding manufacture, etc, are discussed in detail. Finally, the prime problems existing in this area are analyzed and a few of engineering applications are illustrated.
