The clinical study of trace element and the breast cancer

Abstract

Objective:To study the relation of trace element and the breast cancer by detecting :Cu,Zn and Fe in the different period of breast cancer.Methods:From Jun.2005 to Dec.2006,the content of trace elements were determined by testing blood serum in 64 patients with breast cancer and 65 healthy persons.Results:The serum Cu in early infiltrative carcinoma and infiltrative carcinoma of breast cancer group was higher than the healthy group ;The serum Fe in infiltrative carcinoma of breast cancer group was higher than the healthy group;As compared with the healthy group,The serum Zn significantly decreased.Conclusion:The higher Cu and Fe and the lower Zn in serum have closed relationship with different period of breast cancer.So trace element may be useful mark in diagnosis of breast cancer.
