Abstract
The formation of the educational ideology of the Neo Confucianism is largely due to the assimilation of Buddhism, while criticism from scholars of the Neo Confucianism to Buddhism serves as a guarantee of retaining the essence of Confucianism. From the perspective of criticism, scholars of the Neo Confucianism argue that Buddhism make people fail to observe the“Three Cardinal Guides”and“The five constant Virtues”.However, their critical focuses vary in some aspects, among which some are subjective and partial,or even superficial.
