The Investigation and Analyses of Cao Zhi' s Sanliang Poem

Because of the confusion of the writing time of Cao Zhi's Sanliang Poem, there are many disputes on the purport of this poem. It seems that the purport of this poem is contradictory. In my opinion, this poem was produced in the twentieth year of Jian' an period at the end of the Han Dynasty or thereafter. It was most likely to be after the death of Emperor Wu or Emperor Wen of the Wei Dynasty. This poem expressed the poet's affection in the cockles of the heart and the loyalism in the poem was sincere.
