Abstract

Activated sludge process is used in many wastewateer treatment plants. But it is often accompanied by filamenttous bulking which happens readily and haarms the operation of activated sludge process seriously. The papeer analyzed the mechanism of sludge bulking from three factors, including filamentous kind and wastewater quality. It summed up the measures of controlling the sludge bulking too.
