Clinical research of improved lip bumper in treatment of Class II division 1 malocclusions

Abstract

Objective To study the method and effect with improved lip bumper on class Ⅱ division 1malocclusions in mixed dentitions. Methods 15 cases of class Ⅱ division 1 malocclusions in mixed dentitions were selected.They were treated with improved lip bumper,measured and analyzed cephalometry radiographs before and after treatment. Results After treatment Labial incline in upper(U1-SN, U1-NA)and the angle of ANB were decreased.The angle of SNB increased.Conclusion Improved lip bumper had the evident orthopedic effects on class Ⅱ division 2 malocclusions in mixed dentitions.
