Abstract

Objective To explore the efficacy of lactobacillus vaginal capsules in VVC infection during gestation period. Methods 80 pregnant women in our hospital who were infected VVC were randomly divided into treatment group and control group, each group has 40 pregnants. The patients in treatment group were given lactobacillus vaginal capsules and the other group was blank control. The VVC morbidity, number of lactobacillus in vagina and the changes of Ig E concentration were compared between the two groups after three weeks and two months. Results After three weeks treatment, the Ig E concentration in vagina of treatment group was obviously lower than before treatment( P 0. 05) and the number of lactobacillus in vagina was higher than before treatment. The VVC morbidity in treatment group( 12. 5%) was significantly lower than that in control group( 32. 5%) after two months of treatment( P0. 05). Conclusion Lactobacillus vaginal capsules can contribute to reduce the VVC morbidity during gestation period and improve the vaginal micro-ecology imbalance caused by VVC infection.
