Abstract
The application and research of treated agricultural and forest residues for the removal of heavy metals from waste water are reviewed in this paper.Adsorption of Cr6+ by modified peanut shell was studied. The effects of pH value, initial Cr6+ concentration, adsorption time, temperature and peanut shell dosage on adsorption effect have been investigated. The results indicated that modified peanut shell had good adsorption to Cr6+.In condition of 33℃,1.0 g modified peanut shell,50 mL 20 mg·L-1 Cr6+ solution, the initial pH value, contact time 120 min,the adsorption rate of Cr6+ can be up to 98.4%.
