Abstract
Treatment of Cr6+-containing wastewater modified by peanut shell was studied. The influence of adsorption time, amount of modified peanut shell,pH value and initial concentration on its adsorption to Cr6+ in water were examined. The experimental results showed that under the following optimization conditions of adsorption time 100 min,the dosage of modification woodflour 5.0 g/L,pH 2.0,initial concentration 25 mg/L and room temperature, the adsorption rate of Cr6+ could be up to 76%.The results indicated that modified peanut shell was a kind of good and cost effective adsorbent.
