The Analysis of Jiangxi Province's Ecology Footprint Evolution Between 1949-2004

The Ecological footprint is one of important methods to quantitatively investigate region sustainable development.With this method,The author computed and analyzed the ecological footprint and the biological capacity of Jiangxi Province between 1949-2004.And this method was applied to weigh the region ecology supplies function whether could satisfy the development and the expense need.The influence degree of the economy development on the ecological environment was studied quantitatively.The results showed that,from 1949 to 2004 year,the ecological footprint rose gradually and the biological capacity declined little by little.The per capital ecological footprint has surpassed the biological capacity.The ecological deficit appearances indicated current development is not sustainable in Jiangxi Province.At the same time the reason which the ecology deficit produced were discussed and the corresponding solutions were proposed.Its important practical significance is to maintain the Jiangxi ecology security,construct Green Ecology Jiangxi,build Harmonious Safe Jiangxi.
