Clinical Analysis of Lacrimal Duct Intubation Combined with TCM Oral Prescription in Treatment of Chronic Dacryocystitis

Objective To study the therapeutic effect of lacrimal duct tube surgery combined with TCM oral prescription on chronic dacryocystitis. Methods Collecting 236 cases( 241 eyes) of chronic dacryocystitis from 2012 /05 to 2014 /01 treating in our hospital out-patient treatment and dividing the cases into two groups. The control group was treated with lacrimal passage intubation and the treatment group was treated with lacrimal duct catheterization combined with TCM oral prescription. Clinical follow-up lasts for 6 months to observe the cure rate,extubation,incidence of adverse reaction and blocking time. Results The cure rate and blocking the incidence had no significant difference between two groups( P 0. 05),but the extubation time in treatment group was comparently shorter than that in control group( P 0. 05). Conclusion Lacrimal duct intubation combined with TCM Oral Prescription in treatment of chronic dacryocystitis can contribute to the disease in which reduces the extubation time.
