Study on the influence of Shengbai Capsules on leucopenia in mice induced by cyclophosphamide

ObjectiveTo study the influence of Shengbai Capsules on leucopenia in mice induced by cyclophosphamide and the mechanism of action.Methods60 mice were randomly divided into normal control group,model control group,Zhenqi Fuzheng Capsule group,high and low dose of Shengbai Capsule group,every group had 12 mice.The mice of all groups were given distilled water and suspension of relevant drug separately.In the eighth day of giving drug,except normal control group,the mice of other groups were made into the models of leucopenia by injecting cyclophosphamide in abdominal cavity of mice,and observed the influence of Shengbai Capsules on peripheral hemogram,differential count of nucleated cells and the content of DNA in bone marrow of mice.ResultsCompared with normal control group,the white cell count,differential count of nucleated cells and the content of DNA in bone marrow of model control group were significantly decrease(P0.01).Compared with model control group,the white cell count,differential count of nucleated cells and the content of DNA in bone marrow of Zhenqi Fuzheng Capsule group,high and low dose of Shengbai Capsule group were significantly increase(P0.01 or P0.05).ConclusionShengbai Capsules have obvious effects on improving reducing of white cell count induced by cyclophosphamide,the mechanism relates to promoting hematopoietic function of bone marrow.
