Abstract
Objective To study the influence of soy isoflavones on serum lipid level in rats with Hyperlipidemia. Methods 50 SD female rats were randomly divided in 4 groups:normal diet control, high fat diet, low dose SI (300mg/kg·BW)+high fat diet, and high dose SI(600mg/kg·BW)+high fat diet.Rats of normal diet control were fed with normal diet, and rats of the remainder groups were fed with high fat diet. After 6 weeks, rats were killed and activity of GSH-Px and CAT and SOD and T-AOC in blood and liver in hyperlipide rats were detected. Results The GSH-Px and CAT activities of in liver and whole blood in experimental group were increased signifi- cantly(P0.01).The SOD、T-AOC levels in experimental group in liver were significantly increased(P0.01). Conclusion These results suggested that Soy Isoflavones can improve the ability of antioxidation obviously.
