Abstract

Objective To observe the effect of HbA1 c on serum CA199 levels in diabetic patients. Methods 198 diabetic patients were divided into two groups according to the normal range of CA199 level. One group is in CA19939U/ml,the other group is in CA199≥39U/ml.The levels of the indices were compared between two groups.Multiple stepwise regression analysis was performed to compare the effect of different variables on CA199. Results WC,BMI,FPG and HbA1 c were markedly higher in group with CA199≥39U/ml than in group with CA19939U/ml group(P0.05 or P0.01).2hC-P were significantly lower in CA199≥39U/ml group than in CA19939U/ml group(P0.05).Multiple linear stepwise regression analysis showed that HbA1 c was entered the equation. Conclusion HbA1 c is positively correlated with CA199.HbA1 c has effect on the levels of serum CA199.
