Abstract

Objective To evaluate the correlation of hemoglobin A_1c(HbA_1c),fasting blood glucose(FBG),age and serum CA199 levels in diabetes mellitus(DM) patients. Methods According to the normal range of CA199 levels(CA19927 kU/L),508 DM patients in the Third Hospital of Tangshan were divided into two groups, normal group and elevated group. The indexes of two groups were compared.Single factor correlation analysis Pearson was performed for the correlation of the continuous variables.Multiple liner regression analysis was performed for the quantitative relationship between CA199 and risk factors. Results The age,HbA_1c,FBG and 2hour blood glucose of elevated group were higher compared with those of normal group(P0.05).Single factor correlation analysis Pearson showed that serum CA199 was positive correlated with HbA_1c,FBG and age(r=0.152,0.120,0.150,P0.01).Multiple linear stepwise regression analysis showed that HbA_1cFBG and age were risk factors of serum CA199.Conclusion Serum CA199 levels of DM patients were closely related with poor glucose control and age.
