Abstract

Objective To explore the effect of emotional labor on professional burnout of nurses. Methods The Emotional Labor Scale and Chinese version of Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI) were used to survey 150 nurses in one general hospital of Hangzhou. Results There were significant correlation between the factors of emotional labor and job burnout. The surface acting,deep acting and emotional display requirements of emotional labor's three factors can predict the latter. Conclusion Nurse's emotional labor should be paid more attention to,especially deep acting training on nurses with less work age.
