Abstract

Objective To explore the relevance of p16 and Rb protein expression with the occurrence and development of gastric adenocarcinoma and analyze p16,Rb protein expression and their relevance. Methods HSC SP assay was used to detect p16 and Rb protein expression in 102 cases of gastric adenocarcinoma. Results Of 31 cases of positive Rb protein sample,24 cases showed p16 protein expression loss or low expression.Of 23 cases negative Rb protein sample,19 cases indicated p16 protein positive or strong positive. Conclusion The loss of p16 protein expression and positive Rb protein expression play an important role in the occurrence and devleopment of gastric adenocarcinoma. The positive expressions of p16 and Rb proteins are inter-restricted,which is one of the characteristics of gastric adenocarcinoma.
