Revelation and Reference of Urban Development Conceptual Planning to Land Use Strategy Study in China

The purpose of the paper is to summarize the connotations and characteristics of the urban development conceptual planning as well as introduce its ideas and methods to land use strategy study of land use planning.Methods employed include documentation,induction and comparative analysis.The results show that the introduction of the ideas and methods can strengthen the function of land use strategy study and boost the change of land use quota from rigidity to elasticity by guiding land use zoning;the introduction can also improve the transparency and public participation of the planning.It is concluded that application of ideas and methods of conceptual planning of urban development in land use strategy study can further perfect the procedure and method and explore a new pattern for land use planning.
