Statistical and analysis on articles, authors and quotations of "Journal of Northwest University (Natural Science Edition)"from 2001

AimShowing the information of articles authors and quotations of the Journal of Northwest University (Natural Science) in recent years objectively and in an all-sided way.MethodsBy using documentary metrology, making quantitative analysis on 19 issues from 2001,and comparing with relative documents.ResultsThere are all together 546 articles in 19 issues, among which foundation items articles maked up 81.14%, each articles occupies 3.85 pages; the rate of coauthoring is 84.83%,the co-operation rate is 3.06;the first authors who own senior titles account for 48.54%,ph.D. or doctoral candidates account for 34.98%;authors between 31～40 years old amount to 41.76%;each article quoted 7.01 pieces equally, a proper quantity; the form of quotations is standard, the type is varied, and the quantity is superior.ConclusionFrom the 3 aspects,it may be said that this journal owns a high academic level and an excellent editors team.
