Abstract
By using documentary metrology, making quantitative analysis on 16 issues of Studies in Science of Science from 2001 to 2003, and comparing with relative documents. Results show articles are in a proper quantity, among which ,foundation items articles make up 37.50% ; average publication period is within 165 days ; 31 articles within only 3 months , the rate of coauthoring is 6015%, the co-operation rate is 1.85; the origin of articles is extensive, and the journal owns stable key authors. The first authors who own senior titles account for 58.97%, ph D) or doctoral candidates account for 42.17%; authors between 31~40 years old amount to 43.80%; each article quoted 9.07 pieces equally, the type is varied, and the quantity is superior.
