Abstract
Objective: To establish a method for rapid determination of Carbamazepine in human plasma Methods: Using RP-HPLC with Estazolam as internal standard to determine concentration of Carbamazepine in human plasma The separation was performed on shimadzu shimpack CLC-C 18 column with methanol water (60∶40) as mobile phase The flow rate was 0 8 ml/min The wavelength for detection was 254 nm Results: The linear range of Carbamazepine was between 2~16 mg/L with r= 0 999 6 The lowest limit of detection was 4 92 μg/L. The average recoveries for carbamazepine in three different concentrations were 97 00%,96 00%,93 98% with RSD of 1 1%, 3 0% and 4 1% respectively (n=9) The RSD values of intraday and interday were 1 9%,1 6%,6 3% (n= 5) and 1 8%, 2 4%, 2 9% ( n= 5 ) Conclusion: This method is accurate, rapid and easy It can be used as a routine method in TDM
