Synthetic Study of Classroom Teaching Strategies Based on Focus-on-form Approach

A large amount of classroom English teaching has been dominated by grammar teaching for a long time,although the reform of foreign language teaching is calling for communicative teaching which aimed at constructing students' integrative language competence.Originating in the 1990s,Focus-on-Form Theory plays a striking role in China's foreign language teaching.The present teaching methods of Focus-on-Form Theory in classroom teaching are summarized and the advantages and disadvantages of each method are discussed,hoping to cast some light on our foreign language teaching.
