A Study of the Social Trend of Thought of Worship of Taoism in the Region of Western Sichuan During the Period of the Late Tang Dynasty and Five Dynasties

The region of western Sichuan was not noly amazing and magnifficent but also filled with atmosphere of Taoism culture during the period of Five dynasties. The development of Taoism experienced a very long history from the Six dynasties to Five dynasties. The Taoist philosophical connotations were very colorful and the immortal stories were deceiving and deluding,which had a strong influence on the group mentality of people from all walks at that time. Therefore,the study of the social trend of Thought of worship of Taoism in the region of western Sichuan has a great significance on the further discussion of the unique mentality and creation tendency of the Sichuan writers during the period of Five dynasties.
