Abstract
To explore the use of (3-receptor blockers and ACEI in the treatment of chronic congestive heart failure. Methods: 124 patients with chronic congestive heart failure were randomly devided into four groups.33 patients were randomized to conventional treatment group(control group) ,30 patients to captopril group,30 patients to metoprolol group and 31 patients to meto-prolol plus captopril group (combination therapy group) . Results: The mortality and rehospitalization rate in treatment groups were lower than that in control group. There was more significant improvement in NYHA functional class in combination therapy group compared with control group, captopril group and metoprolo] group. After treatment LVEF in treatment groups was significantly increased, and the increment level was significantly more than that in control group. Conclusion: use of B-receptor blockers and ACEI based on conventional therapy may significantly improve the heart function of the patients with chronic congestive heart failure and reduce mortality and rehospitalization rate.
