Abstract
Objective: To detect the expression of human leukocyte antigen protein G(HLA-G)in oral squamous cell carcinoma and explore its significance in the development of the disease.Methods: The immunohistochemical method was used to detect the expression of HLA-G in 52 oral squamous cell carcinoma tissues and 20 normal tissues.The relationship between the expression and the clinical pathological characteristics of oral squamous cell carcinoma was observed.Results: The positive expression rate of HLA-G was 55.77%(29/52) in oral squamous cell carcinoma tissues,while no positive expression(0/20) was found in normal tissues.The positive expression rate of HLA-G correlated with clinical stage(P0.05),but no correlated with age,sex and differentiation degree(P0.05).Conclusion: Expression of HLA-G in oral squamous cell carcinoma is significantly higher than that in normal tissues.It is considered that HLA-G molecule of oral squamous cell carcinoma cells is closely related to immune evasion and thus promote the development of oral squamous cell carcinoma.
