Abstract

Among a lot of pictorials by stone lithography in the Late Qing Dynasty,the Pictorial News distributed by the office of the China Times has been never paid attention to.Through analyzing its advocating the western learning,harshly criticizing superstitions,reporting the awakening new females and the booming new schools,it is clear to see the society with collisions of new and old thought in the Late Qing Dynasty.
