Clinical observation on Cough Decoction combined with Azithromycin in the treatment of 22 children with pediatric mycoplasma pneumonia

Objective To observe the therapeutic efficacy of Cough Decoction combined with Azithromycin in the treatment of mycoplasma pneumonia(MPP) of children.Methods 45 cases of children with MPP were randomly assigned into treatment group and control group.Patients in the treatment group were treated with Cough Decoction combined Azithromycin.Patients in the control group were only given Azithromycin.Treatment efficacies of the two groups were compared.Results Clinical score of the treatment group and control group were(0.51±0.14) scores and(0.90±0.11) scores respectively,the corresponding effective rates were 95.45% and 73.91%,incidence of adverse events were 9.09% and 60.87% respectively,and the differences were significant(P 0.05).Conclusion Cough Decoction combined with Azithromycin can alleviate the clinical manifestations,enhance clinical efficacy and reduce adverse reactions in the treatment of MPP,so it is worthy of clinical application.
