Abstract

Benevolence and loyalty are important theoretical propositions in Confucians' morality theory, such as the benevolence and loyalty in Lun Yu and that in Zhong Yong. The Confucian scholars of idealistic philosophy of Song Dynasty, represented by ZHU Xi, greatly developed the theory of benevolence and loyalty. The principle of benevolence and royalty has rich ancient practices and it also has a very important social value in modern society.
