Abstract
The core of Confucian political thought is rite,and the core of moral education thought is benevolence.Confucian benevolence has two prominent characteristics:first,the final purpose of benevolence practice is for the realization of rite;second,the core of the moral education based on benevolence is for educators to uphold rite voluntarily.There are three specific principles of Confucian benevolence in moral education:one must do good work by oneself;one can influence the others by one's own deeds;understanding,emotion,and will should be combined together.
