At the Spring and Autumn period,Confucius reflected human existence in deep facing the degeneration of social norm and morality.He established his theory of benevolence based on the study of man's life,earlier spiritual life,and collective thinking.Benevolence is a way of living and surviving,which is an ideal personality of gentleman.Meanwhile,Confucius also proposed a practical way:honesty,loyalty,and self-abnegation.All the theories are the foundation of Confucian ideal personality.
