Abstract

Objective To evaluate the efficacy of Procedure for Prolapse and Hemorrhoids in the treatment of mixed hemorrhoid. Methods Eighty cases of mixed hemorrhoid were divided into observation group and control group. The control group was treated by using the traditional technique Milligan surgery and the observation group was treated by using Procedure for Prolapse and Hemorrhoids. Results The operations of both groups were successful, and all cases eventually left hospital. There was no significant difference in the average postoperative pain score between the two groups(P0.05).The anal verge edema score, bleeding score, time of hemorrhoids shedding off and wound healing time in the observation group were significantly less than those in the control group, with a significant difference(P0.05).Conclusion Procedure for Prolapse and Hemorrhoids for the treatment of mixed hemorrhoid shows reliable efficacy, less bleeding and faster recovery, worthy of clinical application and popularization.
