Abstract
Objective To study the inhibitory effect of compound Ganmaochongji on influenza virus in vitro and provide reference for clinical application. Methods Influenza virus was cultured in Madin-Darby canine kidney (MDCK) and compound Ganmaochongji was added before, during and after infection. Results Compound Ganmaochongji showed significantly inhibitory effect on the infection of influenza virus (H3N2) in MDCK. While weak inhibitory effect of compound Ganmaochongji added before infection on influenza virus was observed in MDCK and no protective effect of compound Ganmaochongji used after infection on influenza virus was observed. Conclusion Compound Ganmaochongji possesses protective effect against influenza virus infection in vitro and the effect depends on the way of administration.
