Abstract
Objective To observe the clinical effect of VA-LCP on unstable distal radius fractures. Methods Internal fixation with variable angle LCP were applied on 22 cases of unstable distal radius fractures. Results All patients were followed up for 6- 16 months. All the fractures got union. According to Garland and Werley evaluation system( improved by Sarmiento),11 patients obtained excellent results,10 good results,1 fair results, the excellent and good rate was 95. 5%; According to Batra radiology score system,10 patients obtained excellent results,10 patients obtained good results, the excellent and good rate was90. 9%. Conclusion Internal fixation with VA-LCP in treating the unstable distal radius fractures can provide firm fixation and the patients can exercise early, without losing,it is an effective way to treat the unstable distal radius fractures.
