Abstract

The functions of GPAT genes have been intensively studied in Arabidopsis, but not in peanut(Arachis hypogaea L.).In this study,we found 6ESTs which may encode GPAT proteins from the cDNA library of peanut using the Bioedit software.5'or 3'fragments of three ESTs were unknown and we amplified the 5'-and 3'-end of these three genes through RACE(rapid amplification of cDNA ends)RT-PCR.The sequences of three genes were also submitted to GenBank and analyzed after the whole sequences were cloned.
